I have found two weird jquery bugs I don&#39;t really understand in the last few days.<br><br>1. when there was a keyup [e.g. $(&quot;#email&quot;).keyup(function(){...});], my firefox kept throwing warnings about not using charCode on a keyup (which I was not doing). Switching it to document.getElementById(&quot;email&quot;).addEventListener(...); made the warnings go away.<br>
<br>2. when using a keypress [e.g. $(&quot;#opencloseField&quot;).keypress(function(){...});], a keypress event with event.ctrlKey set to true would always have event.metaKey set to true also, so you couldn&#39;t have just a Ctrl hotkey. I don&#39;t know what this was and it went away when I switched to addEventListener.<br>
<br>Just some things to look out for.<br>
